Howdy all!
I grew up in the sticks, but for the last 10 years I've been in a larger city. My daily job is urban preparedness with a target audience of first responders. Recently I ran across this link to some good information for urban preparedness in the general population. Remembering that sustained power outages are a common urban threat, this list works well.

Granted, this is a very basic list for people who have never really given much thought to preparedness. Since most of you on this site are experienced, this link might best serve as something you give to friends or family who don't put as much thought into being prepared as we do. But let us not forget, we all started somewhere. This is a good list for anyone; especially those who are in an urban environment.
