Howdy,

I was wondering if anyone had and tips or could help me find fat wood in here in Kansas.

Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks!

It can be found here in KS although it's harder than in areas with true pine forests. My suggestion would be to keep an eye out for dead pine trees in your travels. Once you locate one chop into the stump and see if you get the tell tale smell or see the right color of wood. Often you can find dead pines around peoples yards or cemetary's. Of course you'd want to ask before you went and chopped into someones trees, but if it's already dead they probably wouldn't mind.

Good luck!

You can find more of it especially on the heavy forest. ;)
